Brett proposed to Angela here so naturally we had to go back for their engagement session! If you’ve never been to Bernheim then you’re definitely missing out! It’s huge, it’s gorgeous, and there’s a ton to see! We had to drive around because, well, it’s huge. While in the car I played The Lumineers and I forgot to play ‘Angela’!! If you’ve never heard this song then I highly recommend checking it out now. It is definitely one of my favorites and given the circumstances (Angela’s name…) I was kicking myself on the way home for not being clever enough to think of that sooner. Ah well. I’m listening to it now to make up for it haha. I’m swooning over these two and how cool they are for letting me get a little weird with their images. Their May wedding at Mellwood Art Center is going to be killer!!!
First off, if you can’t already tell, these two are newlyweds!! Also, Jacey is also a wedding photographer! I absolutely love being able to meet and work with other local creatives. Louisville is filled with so many talented people and it’s so inspiring to see so many people doing what they love! For this adventure, we explored downtown a little and spent most of our time in a random parking garage. As much as I love fields and forests, it was so nice to go to the city for an evening! Check out these cuties below and then go give Jacey a follow on Instagram www.Instagram.com/jaceylaneharding
Blowing up social media with my 2019 couples - Obsessed with their chemistry and I’m sure you can see why! These two are silly, playful, and down for anything! Hard to tell, but it was raining their entire session. Elizabeth and Dillon didn’t mind it at all and took me on a small tour of their land. A couple hundred acres in the middle of nowhere, dreamy! I can’t wait to see and capture what these two put together for their wedding next year!
What better place to have an engagement session than at the venue you will be married at!? Gingerwoods Event Hall in Prospect Kentucky is beautiful! When people think about having their picture taken I think most people are think about having family photos done as a child where you stand and fake smile the whole time. I do not do that. Actually I hate that and although I will always grab a shot or two of everyone looking and smiling, a session with me is spent running, jumping, climbing, laughing ( probably mostly at me ), and just spending time together!! Brittany and Steven caught on quick and had a blast playing together! Steven requested a lot of ring shots and I can see why!! Less than a year and these two will be back at this same place, saying their I do’s and I absolutely can not wait to capture it!!
Your session does not have to be a huge adventure nor does it have to be super simple. Choosing your session based off of your personality and what you truly love doing together will make your session 100x better! Details are key to everything photography related, so choose the details that are important to you! For Amanda and Tyler, a backyard bonfire (with beer of course) and a cruise down to the river to check out the view was perfect! Need help figuring out something unique and fun for your engagement, couple or even family session? Send me a message and we can make some memories happen for you!
I’d say Brooke and Kyle nailed their vision of a minimalistic woodland wedding! Every little detail was absolutely stunning. Check out the vendors below who helped pull it all together. You’ll see Kristy Tucker a few times and she is also the Mother of the Bride!! Talk about a jack of all trades!

Couldn’t tell you exactly where we were but I can say that the drive out here was worth it!! These two brought along their gorgeous pups and they loved having their picture taken! Mallory’s grandparents tagged along to help with the dogs and I have to give them a little shout out because they are absolutely amazing! Mallory and Hunter are both so playful with each other! Silly love is my favorite and they definitely kept me laughing! Bummed I have to wait till next year to photograph their wedding but at least I can reminisce over their super cute engagement session until then!
